The Synchronicity Within the Synchronicity
I am learning now from the I Ching about how to prudently start new ventures, projects or relationships. The awareness came about as a result of receiving the same hexagram and change line in two different readings. The hexagram received in both inquiries was #1 Creative Power. The first question had to do with starting my new business; the second, with pursuing a new romantic interest.
In both inquiries, the I Ching's counsel was consistent and clear. I received change line 1 for both inquiries. This line cautions me to use prudence when starting potentially life-changing activities or endeavors. In fact, the I ching told me that 'the time is not yet ripe for action" in both cases. Sometimes, prudence demands waiting, being still and getting proper guidance - before moving ahead with a plan.
These two separate readings highlight another side point: The I Ching's revelations are cumulative and sequential, not isolated. In other words, had I not kept a journal of previous readings, I wouldn't have seen the "synchronicity within the synchronicity." I wouldn't have been able to make the connection between new endeavors and hexagram #1, the Creative. And I probably wouldn't have recognized the I Ching's particular way of speaking to me regarding the subject of starting new projects.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for posting about this - there's a lot to be learned from all the ways hexagrams recur between readings. I posted a response, 'That hexagram again', suggesting what these repeated messages might mean.
May your dragon awaken and bring rain to all your fields!
Hilary
